| I competed in an online gaming tournament last night and had a lot of fun. I missed the cut to move onto the next round by 10 points, but I still had a good time. I like to accept and appreciate my inner gaming nerd and I'm damn proud of it,  . Vista comes out next week and I'm supposed to some how get a free upgrade with the purchase of my new Dell XPS, but I'm not sure how. I should probably be able to download it or get a copy in the mail. I think that this new operating system is going to be really amazing, but I'm not going to hold my breathe. Bill Gates doesn't have the best track record when it comes to smoothly running Windows upgrades......Windows 98 was a joke. My hell week at work continues as we are one man short on vacation. Thankfully this guy who use to work with us can work a few days this week. And of course the week that we are short staffed would be the week where they need someone to stay overnight. Tomorrow night they are putting in new carpet in one of the departments and my boss has to work overnight since they can't do that while the store is open. I'm just glad he didn't ask me to do it . | | |
| to be a GUITAR HERO? Yes that's right I got Guitar Hero II for Christmas and I love it. And now a quick rundown of all the gifts I got.....PS2 game Sega Genesis Collection, 24: The DVD Board Game, Lost: Season 2 on DVD, some clothes, a Packers beer stein, a french rolling pin, a silicone baking pan, and a couple other things that I can't think of right now. The big gift is the one that I bought for myself and it will arrive tomorrow.....or at least parts of it are supposed to arrive. And that of course is my Dell XPS system. Besides buying my car I have never spent this much money on myself and I have to say that it feels pretty damn good. I'm at work and I have to be short, but I will post later on how my Christmas went. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. | | |

Well I have to say that working in retail has killed nearly all of my holiday cheer, but I am excited that Christmas is only 5 days away. I think that I am more excited about it being over than I am about it actually being here. After Christmas we go back to normal store hours and it will be nice to not have to close the store at midnight or open it at 7am. My brother will be flying home this evening and depending on if he can catch an early flight or not he should be home by 9pm at the latest. It is nice to have all of my Christmas shopping done and all I have left to do is wrap a couple gifts. I am about to get into Christmas Cookie mode and turn into Martha Stewart for the next few days. I just hope that I'm able to get them all done working around my work schedule, but I think I will have the time. This Christmas will be different from any Christmas that I have had before.......it's the first Christmas without my Grandmother and I can already feel the change. I have made the decision that I am going to enjoy this Christmas and spending time with my family to the fullest and see how things go. My family get-togethers are never boring and without their share of drama, but it keeps things interesting. I can't wait to see if the streak will stay alive, I've gotten a double gift every Christmas for the past 7 years in a row, lol. | | |
| Holiday season is in full swing and working my first Christmas in retail is killing my holiday spirit. I did hang some more Christmas decorations up outside, but we still don't have our tree up yet. I just don't have the energy on my days off to do anything like that. I feel like no one else in my house cares enough to do it themselves. I have a feeling that if I don't initiate anything our tree might not get done at all. I got my copy of Metal Gear: Portable Ops today via UPS from Gamestop and I also got my free psp skin and I can't wait to put it on my psp. I've been asked what I want for Christmas and I think that Guitar Hero II w/ Guitar is topping my list. As for anything else......I really can't think of anything. | | |
